History of the Chamber

The actual charter of The Alliance can trace its roots to the 1912 charger of the original Norristown Chamber of Commerce, later becoming the Montgomery County Board of Trade.

Over the course of the 20th century these Chambers evolved into the Ambler, Conshohocken, King Of Prussia, MONTCO and Valley Forge Chambers of Commerce.

Today all are merged into the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, a network that serves over 1700 members from Fort Washington to Valley Forge, Conshohocken to Collegeville.
