On Monday, June 26, Zeus, the Greek God of Rain and Thunder, took a vacation from the great 18 holes of The 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, so that we, The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, could host an amazing day for our members and friends. The 19th Annual Golf Outing was indeed a great success. There were 116 golfers, our biggest group of golfers in the history of our annual tournament, and 18 wonderful sponsors with nearly a dozen valued volunteers.
Festivities began with a delicious buffet lunch and then the crews hit the tees for an 18-hole Scramble Format gameplay. Among the special events, we had a Chevrolet Traverse from Bergey’s Chevrolet up for grabs for a Hole-In-One. Many came close, but no one sunk it for the win. We also had a Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Beat The Pro and Putting Green Challenges. The day concluded with a nice dinner and raffle drawings of 12 great baskets and prizes of nearly $2000 of total value. Congrats to our Winning Foursome: The Fine Fellas from Lower Providence Township!
