Our Annual Celebration of Businesses in Montgomery County, aka ChamberFest, was SOLD OUT again! We were overjoyed to have 140 people registered for this event. This year, ChamberFest took place at Presidential Caterers in East Norriton. Not only was the venue perfect in every way, but we are proud that they are longtime Chamber members.
After networking with fellow businesses, enjoying drinks and visiting some of our lead sponsor vendor tables, attendees were seated to hear about all the new developments, plans and achievements from our Chamber. Board Chairman, Kevin Homer, reminded attendees that his goal is to hit 500 members by December 2024. It’s a lofty, but very achievable goal. Executive Director, Ryan Rosenbaum, reminded attendees about the joys of being part of the business community of Montgomery County.
ChamberFest continued by inviting our Keynote Speaker to the stage. Tracy Davidson, of NBC10 News offered some biographical background into her journalism career. She offered a personal experience as a young reporter covering the tragic aftermath of the Pan Am flight crash in July of 1982 that took 145 lives, including a few university students in the NY area where she began her career. She also spoke about covering the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and some of her other top stories. She also spoke of digital distractions in society. The attendees enjoyed a question and answer session and enjoyed meeting Tracy afterwards.
The night was capped off with four big award winners. The Chamber was happy to award the following:
- Dr. Bev Weinberg of Integrate for Good – the Community Service Award
- Open Tier Systems, the Lifetime Dedication Award
- East Norriton Grocery Outlet – the Make Your Mark Award
- Becky Shoulberg of the Central Montgomery County Business and Professional Women – The NEW June Jenkins Memorial Award for Chamber Service
We look forward to ChamberFest 2024 next April and we hope everyone will join us!
