State Senator Art Haywood has worked to reduce homelessness through the expansion of the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement Act, passed requirements to test for lead in water in Pennsylvania schools, and successfully championed legislation to relocate domestic violence survivors living in public housing.

In 2020, he fought for $193 million in federal CARES Act funds to be allocated to prevent evictions, foreclosures, and homelessness in Pennsylvania during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Tom Wolf appointed Haywood to his COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force to improve the vaccine distribution in Pennsylvania in February 2021.

Over the last 13 years, Corbin has created several substantial private/public partnerships providing innovative solutions to address digital disparities and lack of representation within technology sectors across the Nation, thus positioning Wilco, as a broadband and technology leader. Under her leadership, Corbin has continued the family legacy by pivoting Wilco’s expertise towards the integration of security surveillance and cloud-based door access, property technology (PropTech), IoT( Internet of Things), and smart home automation, platforms, with a focus on urban communities and the creation of workforce pipelines in urban communities.

As a recent 2019 Mayoral appointed member of the SMARTCityPHL advisory committee and a newly appointed board member of Philadelphia Works Inc., Corbin provides strategy and vision to both organizations, as the City of Philadelphia implements its various roadmaps to provide smart city solutions and new workforce strategies that are inclusive and complement the Philadelphia’s unique value assets.
