COVID-19 Vaccine Update from State Representative Tim Briggs, 149th District
January 14, 2021

Sharing a letter from Representative Tim Briggs, 149 District, posted 1/14/21

Dear Neighbor,

I want to keep you updated with the latest information on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Montgomery County has COVID-19 vaccine information, including who might be eligible in the different phases of vaccine distribution, available on its website. Vaccine distribution has begun for phase 1A, which is focused on health care providers and long-term care facilities.

The county site includes a pre-registration link for individuals 65 or older, or those with health conditions that might qualify them for upcoming distribution phases. The county states that, depending on vaccine supplies, this appointment may take a month or longer to be scheduled.

Governor Wolf and the PA Health Department recently shared the latest version of the state’s vaccine distribution plan. Find more information, including a vaccine provider map, here.

Please continue to follow best practices to slow the spread of COVID-19: Wash your hands frequently, wear a mask if you must go out, and practice social distancing.

Virtual vaccine town hall: The House and Senate worked to schedule virtual town halls on the vaccine with Health Secretary Dr. Levine. If you still have questions, there is one more event for our region at noon Jan. 20. Click here to register to attend.

As always, feel free to reach out to my office for help with any state-related issues.

Sincerely,

Tim Briggs
