Special Message from 2023 Board President Kevin Homer
December 21, 2022

I joined the Board of Governors for Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in January of 2020 and had the opportunity to meet my fellow board members once before COVID. I am impressed how our Chamber pivoted its strategy for offering value to our members and I was proud to be part of this successful yet challenging endeavor.

As we enter 2023, I am proud to be appointed as the President of the Board of Governors for the oldest Chamber of Commerce in Montgomery County. This past year, we have seen old Chamber members return and new Chamber members join. The Chamber is full of buzz and positive momentum, and I couldn’t be more excited for this upcoming year.

But my appointment as President isn’t about me. It’s about our Chamber, our members, and our business community throughout Montgomery County and the surrounding area. Our small, yet mighty staff, combined with our engaging Board of Governors, all of whom come from varying backgrounds and industries, work hard to provide programming, resources, and opportunities for our business community to thrive. But we can’t do it without your help.

Please use your Chamber membership to its fullest: Get involved in a committee, attend or host an event, and, please, reach out to me with questions or suggestions. 2023 will be a year of growth for our Chamber and our members, and I hope we can work together to achieve this.

I am the third generation of Homers to be involved with Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, starting with my grandfather, who was an Executive Director many years ago. My businesses, The Homer Group and Navitas Marketing, have been successful over the years, in many parts, due to the incredible connections and resources we’ve formed through the Chamber. Now it’s my turn to help our members prosper from the Chamber in the same way that my family has.

I’m looking forward to a very successful 2023 for all of us. Please feel free to reach out to me personally (khomer@navitasmarketing.com) anytime you want to get involved or have an idea for our Chamber. We’re here for you!
